Description
MONTY IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME DUE TO HIS MEDICAL CONDITION. HE IS UP FOR ADOPTION BUT SCREENING OF APPLICANTS WILL TAKE PLACE PRIOR TO ANY MEET AND GREETS.
PLEASE CALL 604-990-3711 or Email paws@dnv.org for more information and or an adoption application.
Monty came in to us near death and has improved greatly since getting treatment and love. Below is a description of Monty by his foster parent;
"Looking for a self-cleaning, non-barking dog in a catâs body?
Meet Monty: a food motivated and sweet-natured as a golden retriever and as malleable as a ragdoll cat---just in the body of a big black tom cat.
During his time in a foster home, Monty has proven to be a true food- and people lover, and given his history abandonment and diabetes (now in remission and controlled by a special food), it sure is a surprise.
Monty likes to be where the magic happens, and he loves cuddling. If youâre watching a movie, Monty will be watching a movie with you. If youâre sleeping, Monty will be sleeping with you. If youâre eating, Monty will be eating with you. Or at least trying his darndest.
Heâs also very chatty. If you didnât know better, you might think Monty has a problem with something. But actually, heâs just got things to say. When you come home heâll be right around the corner to greet you and remind you that itâs almost his dinner time, or heâll give you some feedback for not being home for hours and then claiming his seat in your lap or next to your bum just âcause itâs time for some pats and rubs already. If you didnât know better, you may think that he hasnât been fed in a couple of months, judging by how much of a racket heâll make when he hears that sweet crack of the can opening.
Montyâs presence in the house is so all-encompassing, it is hard to ever feel lonely when heâs around. From the first thing in the morning to the switch of the night light, heâs probably there; either sniffing your face to tell you itâs time to get up for his breakfast, or butt to butt, stretching out in your armpit for a good cuddle.
Montyâs a real good cuddly cat, never ceasing to reinvent himself."
