Kate came into the BC SPCA as a stray with her whopping 8 kittens. Needless to say she's been very busy the last couple months raising her babies in a foster home and she can't wait to find her own home where it'll be all about her for a change. Kate is a friendly girl, a bit shy at first in new places but with a little time to settle in her personality starts to come out. She'll certainly make a fun little companion.
Kate's kittens do possibly carry a virus called calici and even though Kate has never shown any symptoms of this it's possible she may carry it. The virus is contagious to other cats so it is recommended Kate either be the only cat in the home or live with another cat who has also been exposed to this virus. It is recommended she be an indoor only cat as well. Kate is a happy girl who can certainly lead a long healthy life as it's not likely this virus will affect her.
A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting this animal.
