Domestic Short Hair

Nika was born outdoors along with her siblings.  Humans are still relatively new to her and she is still initially fearful of people. But she is very playful and will play with foster parents, as long as the toy allows her space to escape if frightened. Right now she is unable to be handled or held without a towel, but she will take food from her fosters’ hands if it is the right treat. She is getting more comfortable staying out when food is being brought to her, and eating when her foster parents are still in the room. She loves playing with other cats, so would do well in a home with another kitten or a young playful cat. She will require a family that has the time and patience to work on her trust, and if children are in the home they should be older, cat savvy, patient, and knowledgeable about respecting her boundaries while she becomes comfortable in her new home.
