MUST be adopted with a sibling, or into a home with another young cat to befriend under 3 years old.DOB: May 23, 2019
Canopus is part of the stars litter. Literal stars! His siblings are Lyra, Vega and Rigel. He is a classic patterned brown tabby with black swirls and a plush, soft fur coat. His foster mom has a few adorable nicknames for him: Squeaky Wheel because he has a demanding, rusty little mrrr-ow to get the results he wants ('give me food' or 'give me attention' usually), and Caramel because of his colouring and sweetness.
Canopus is people oriented, and likes to rub against people. He is a lap cat, and purrs immediately upon being touched. He will roll over for belly rubs, enjoys being held and is very puppy-like in that he likes to follow people around. He is a confident little kitten and is well accustomed to the commotion of a busy, young family. Canopus is playful, talkative and somewhat demanding! He will certainly let you know what he wants!
He likes to chase after his favourite toys, little toy mice and bouncy springs. Wrestling his siblings is also a fun past time. On his down time, he looks for a warm lap to curl up in or a warm leg to snuggle against. He likes to sleep with a companion - feline or human, and sleeps like a rock - anywhere, anytime, and through ruckus.
Canopus has no sense of privacy, and will loudly demand to be let in to the room his people just went. When he plays with his toy mice, he will flip the toy in the air to catch and 'kill' it again, and again! He will purr as soon as he sees a hand coming to pet him, even before being touched.
This attention-seeking, easygoing kitten is good with other cats, and MUST be adopted with one of his siblings, or into a home with another young, cat-friendly cat under 3 years old to befriend. He has not been around dogs before.Adoption applications are available at
