Vera Paddy | Female | Domestic short hair |
Rescue Story:

I came to Zoe's with my mom and siblings. My mom tested positive for FELV so we had to wait until we were 6 months old to be tested. None of us kittens ever tested positive for it but will need one more test when we are older to confirm that.

Date of Birth: May 22, 2019

Energy Level: Medium

Size (adult): Medium

Good with Dogs? Yes
If cat-friendly and not mean, I should be ok with proper introductions.
Good with Cats? Unknown
It is best if I am either an only cat or any resident cats are FELV vaccinated a minimum of 2 months prior to adopting me.
Good with Kids? Yes
Especially if they are gentle with me.

Critter Twitter:

I am very interactive and quite playful, but also a delicate little sweetheart. Though I am independent, I prefer not to be alone in a room and would make the best companion cat ever for a homebody. #sweetgirl

About my Behaviour:

I love to play with other cats and even dogs. There was so inconsistencies from the vets on whether my mom being PCR negative meant she was clear of FeLV or not, so my siblings and I was out with her in the foster home. Now another specialist says that it's possible my mom has the regressive stage and just isn't flaring up at this moment. So they suggested we kittens either go to homes in pairs, or with no other cats in the home. If I am tested negative again, then I for sure do not have FELV, and, you can discuss with your vet about potentially getting me a kitty friend.

How’s my Health?

I am spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and dewormed. I am considered an older kitten, so my adoption fee is $170.

I have been consistently FELV negative, and it is highly unlikely that I have it. But I should get another SNAP test at 9-12 months of age to see if I am still negative. Zoe's will give a free vet exam to a few of their partner vets to help with these costs. If I am positive, then an IFA test would be required. I would need to keep getting FELV vaccinated yearly for few more years but it's not expensive at all.
