Meet Briar! This loving lady was rescued from a shelter in Oklahoma, and is estimated to be 7 years old. Everyone who has met her has fallen in love with what an absolute sweetheart she is. Briar is aptly named after Sleeping Beauty, as this girl loves a good nap and days spent cuddling on the couch. In her foster home, she is mostly indifferent to her foster doggy sister, but occasionally gets playful when the mood strikes. She loves a good scratch, and will pull your hand back for more whenever you stop. When she gets in a playful mood, she will definitely make you laugh with her silly antics!

Briar is housebroken, and will go to the door when she needs to go out. She does have impaired vision and hearing, but she doesn't let it slow her down or cause her problems!

Briar has shown some signs of separation anxiety, with occasional barking after 3+ hours home alone. She would likely be best in a home where she is not left alone for long periods of time, or where neighbours won't be disturbed by occasional barks. She does show signs of potential arthritis in her hind legs, so a home without a lot of stairs would be a great match, but not essential. Given her hearing and vision issues, she is likely best in a home with older children who know to approach her with care. She has not been cat tested, but did attempt to chase a squirrel that crossed her path.
