Hi y’all I’m Jax, a 5 month old, 7lbs Rat Terrier just waiting for you to welcome me into your family. I’m a true southern gent – originally from Louisiana where they think I was abandoned but thankfully RTRC saw me and saved my life – for real! I am currently living in Texas until you adopt me. My typical day is playing – love playing my foster siblings - no size is too large for me. My favorite thing is playing outside – tug of war is the best and helps me get that puppy energy out! As you can see from my pictures, it’s hard for me to stay still – I’m just a bundle of energy – enjoying my puppyhood – just look at that smile. I haven’t met any cats or kids yet, but foster mom says I’m such a friendly and easygoing boy that I would probably do well with them – just remember to be patient, I am eager for you to teach me manners as I am still in puppy mode.
Potty training is going well – it’s a good idea to give me a treat when I go to do my business outside. So far I haven’t been introduced to pee pads but it’s a good idea – remember I get excited and am still just a puppy and have to go often. A treat and some praise every time I do things right would be so good for me! Remember you need lots of time for this.
I am crate trained and just love my crate at bedtime; it’s like my little cozy den. My foster mom says that because I’m still a puppy, it is best to put me in the crate while you’re out. This will keep me safe, and you wouldn’t want me to inadvertently chew something up, right? That’s what puppies do - I haven’t chewed up anything yet, as long as I have my toys I’m in puppy heaven.

If your reading this you’ve probably fallen in love with little me already – I have that effect on people -- if you are game for the puppy training, I would be the perfect dog for you! So let’s fill in those adoption papers so I can have a furever family of my own!
