Description
I am looking for a caring and experienced home for my bunny, Gus. He is a Netherland Dwarf, neutered, and about 1 year and 9 months old. This has been a really tough decision, but due to personal circumstances, I cannot provide the long-term care he needs. I want to make sure he goes to someone who can give him the best life possible.
About Gus:
Neutered and vet-checked. He is currently being treated for syphilis and walking dandruff, which has caused some hair loss under his chin. He will need follow-up care and testing to figure out the cause of his hair loss and weight loss.
Slightly underweight, but we are working on getting his weight up with a proper diet.
He can be friendly and curious but also shy depending on his mood. He needs patience to warm up.
Mostly litter trained for urine but still working on droppings.
Loves timothy hay, cilantro, parsley, and occasional dried banana treats.
Best as a solo pet since male bunnies can be territorial and may not do well with other rabbits, especially other males.
What is included:
Large enclosure (playpen-style setup)
Litter box and hay feeder
Food and water bowls
Timothy hay
Pellets and treats, including his favorites like hay chew sticks and dried banana treats
Variety of toys and chews, including tunnels and enrichment toys
Grooming supplies (brush and nail clippers)
Rehoming fee: $150
This is to ensure he goes to a responsible home and includes everything listed above.
Looking for someone who:
Has experience with rabbits or is willing to learn
Can provide proper vet care and a stable home
Will keep him as a beloved pet and not for food, breeding, or resale
If you are interested, please message me with details about your experience with rabbits, your home setup, and why you would like to adopt Gus. I want to make sure he finds the right home.
